Graduation is not the end of a Bobcat’s journey at Texas State, but rather the beginning of their lifelong connection to the university. There are a variety of ways for alumni to stay connected with TXST and showcase their Bobcat pride.
The Texas State Alumni Association cultivates Bobcat pride by offering fulfilling alumni involvement and engagement opportunities that highlight how the university’s current initiatives add value to every Texas State degree. Through event attendance, advocacy, student recruitment and charitable giving, alumni strengthen the Bobcat community and bolster Texas State’s reputation.
Janie Strother
Oldest Known Living Alum
Janie Strother attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College from 1941 to 1945. The oldest known living TXST alum, she shares her memories of student life, classes, and the impact of World War II.
