For Cindy Williams ‘77, being a Bobcat isn’t just part of her past, it’s part of who she is.

A proud Texas State alumna and former president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, Cindy helped vote to name the life membership program Forever Bobcat. So, when the opportunity came to join, she didn’t hesitate. “It was an honor on all levels,” she shared. “I was super excited to jump in and be one of the first to join.”

Even after her time on the board ended, her connection to Texas State remains strong. “Being a Bobcat is almost a personality trait,” she said. “Becoming a Forever Bobcat keeps me connected, and I love knowing that this program helps keep our special traditions alive and well.”

For Cindy, Forever Bobcat isn’t just about recognition, it’s about belonging. “I love how Texas State will continue to play a big role in my life as I am able to participate in Forever Bobcat activities.  It is these activities that connect me with my fellow alumni and gives me a chance to share my enthusiasm for our Alumni Association,” she said.

She hopes her continued support inspires others to stay connected long after graduation. “I hope current and future Bobcats see their time at the University as worthwhile of continued support and connection,” she said. “Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat!”

A former Texas State Strutter, Cindy credits the Strutters founder Barbara Tidwell and Dr. Abrahamson, her former professor and mentor, for helping shape her into the leader she is today.

Through being a Forever Bobcat, Cindy continues to honor that legacy, supporting scholarships, fostering alumni pride, and ensuring that the Bobcat spirit lives on for generations to come.
