Join us for our inaugural Welcome to the City event series, where alumni, families, and friends come together to celebrate what it means to be Forever a Bobcat. Whether you’re new to the area or a longtime local, these gatherings are a great way to meet fellow alumni, hear from inspiring speakers, and explore opportunities to stay connected in your city.

This event series is designed with graduating seniors in mind—providing a valuable opportunity for them to meet established alumni in the cities they’re considering for relocation or launching their careers. These events foster meaningful connections that support a strong transition from student to young professional within the Bobcat network.

Texas State University alumni, families, and friends come together to welcome new Bobcats and celebrate what it means to be Forever a Bobcat. These events provide a unique opportunity for alumni to connect, build relationships, and strengthen our vibrant Bobcat community. Whether you’ve recently moved to a new city or have lived there for years, these gatherings are a chance to meet fellow alumni, explore local opportunities, and stay engaged with your alma mater.

The events will feature three to five inspiring mid-career alumni, each highlighted as a leader within the Bobcat community. Selected participants will be showcased in email invitations sent to local alumni, which will include their professional headshots and current roles. During the event, each participant will deliver a two-minute elevator pitch highlighting key moments from their career journey. Following these introductions, they will engage in structured networking activities alongside alumni representing a range of industries and career stages. This participation will contribute meaningful value to the event and serve to inspire deeper connection, collaboration, and growth across the Bobcat network.
