Our Welcome to the City networking event in Houston will feature four inspiring alumni, each recognized as a leader within the Bobcat community! They'll share key moments from their professional journeys and guide interactive networking activities to help you make meaningful connections with fellow alumni.

Devin Baker
Broker at Sendero Real Estate
Devin is a 6th-generation Texan from Comal County. Athletic Alum (2009-2013) and graduate of McCoy College of Business (2014). He has 10 years of real estate development and brokerage experience helping connect landowners with developers. He is actively involved with his church and numerous nonprofits focused on helping those experiencing homelessness in the Houston area. Devin lives in The Woodlands with his wife and son (and one on the way). They enjoy live music and spending time outdoors with their Shepherd.

Olivia Gamez Holzhaus
Founder and CEO at Rhodium Scientific
Olivia Gámez Holzhaus is the Founder and CEO of Rhodium Scientific, the first U.S. commercial space biotechnology company. Since founding the company in 2014, she has led its evolution from optimizing laboratory systems nationwide to enabling scientific research in low Earth orbit. In 2017, she integrated the International Space Station (ISS) into Rhodium’s portfolio, expanding access to space-based R&D for scientists around the world.
Under her leadership, Rhodium is now a global provider of spaceflight services, partnering with academic institutions, commercial space stations, and government agencies. Olivia is the lead inventor of the Quality, Industry-Compatible (QuIC) Space Process™, the first framework ensuring industry-standard quality assurances in biotech spaceflight missions—now adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense.
She also received NASA Johnson Space Center’s Director’s Innovation Award for inventing and deploying the Rhodium Science Chambers™, a scalable in-orbit research facility. Rhodium’s hardware suite includes a Variable Gravity Simulator Centrifuge™, large-scale bioculture systems, agritech chambers, and environmental sensors.
With 20+ years in science and engineering, Olivia has held senior roles in research institutions and Fortune 500 firms. She holds a B.S. in Microbiology from Texas State University and an M.S. in Business from University of Texas-San Antonio, and advises multiple national and international space organizations, including the ISS National Lab and Global Entrepreneurial Network-Space Division.
Outside of work, Olivia is a passionate sailor and former Vice Commodore of the Galveston Bay sailing association. She has competed in over 50 regattas, recently winning first place at the 2024 Mermaid Regatta as part of an all-female crew.

Brianna Mascorro
Conservatorship Specialist I at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
Brianna Mascorro is a proud graduate of Texas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science in December 2021. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Brianna currently serves as a Conservatorship Specialist Caseworker with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Brianna is dedicated to promoting the safety and well-being of children and families across the state.

Catherine Sdao
Realtor and Strategic Marketing Professional
Catherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism from Texas State University in 2009, with a minor in Business Administration.
Since transitioning into residential real estate in 2021, Catherine has earned multiple recognitions, including being named a Top Producer and selected to the HAR Young Professionals Network (YPN) Advisory Group for 2025. She also holds designations as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), and Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE). She enjoys guiding first-time home buyers through one of life’s biggest milestones—homeownership—by making the process feel manageable and exciting. Catherine also loves working with clients relocating to Houston, helping them explore the neighborhoods and culture that make it easy to feel at home. Before becoming a licensed Realtor, Catherine spent several years executing strategic marketing efforts across commercial real estate, civic, and hospitality sectors.
Outside of work, she enjoys HIIT and Pilates classes, hiking, exploring the outdoors, cheering on the Astros, Bobcats, and Buffalo Bills, and indulging her artistic side.
